Privacy Policy

The PDCreativity Project, a special initiative, and the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Inc. (PDF), a not-for-profit corporation, are committed to protecting your privacy. This statement explains our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way any information you provide us is collected and used. For easy and direct access, we provide a link to this statement from our home page and all other pages of the site.

The PDCreativity Project and PDF are the sole owners of and the only organizations that use the information collected on PDCreativity.org. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others under any circumstances.

Cookies
Portions of PDCreativity.org use per-session "cookies" (i.e., pieces of data your browser stores in your computer's memory at the request of the PDCreativity Project) to establish user sessions on our servers.  We use the cookies to carry information about usage from page to page through our site.  We do not use cookies to retrieve personal information about you from your computer.

Although a cookie cannot, in and of itself, identify you, it can identify your computer. Your browser is most likely set up to accept cookies automatically. If you would like to disable cookies, you may do so by adjusting the options or preferences in your browser. However, by doing so, you may lose some of the functionality of our website.

IP Addresses
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you begin service with an Internet Service Provider. We may collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to audit the use of our website. Each time you log onto our website and each time you request one of our pages, our server logs your IP address. Although we log your session with us, we will not normally link your IP address to anything that can enable us to identify you.

Online Donations
Donations made through PDCreativity.org are processed through the PDF web link.  PDF collects the following information through its secure online financial-transaction pages: name, address, email address, phone number, and credit card information.  This personally identifiable information is used to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes.  NOTE: If you choose to make a donation supporting the PDCreativity Project you must state this in the note section of the donation page.

When you send a donation in honor of or in memory of someone and request that an acknowledgement be sent to another individual or a family, we will use the name and address of that individual or family for acknowledgement purposes only.  Again, be sure to specify that the donation is to support the PDCreativity Project.

Links to Other Web Sites
PDCreativity.org includes links, some temporary and some permanent, to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy and security practices of any other website or the nature of the website's content.

Children's Privacy
PDCreativity.org will not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 unless we receive their parent's written consent or are otherwise permitted        by law.

Contractors
Our operations and maintenance contractors may have access to your personal information in the course of maintaining our website or providing it or its end users with products or services. These contractors include the organizations that provide us with technology and with services and/or content related to better operation and maintenance of our website. In particular, these contractors may have access to your email or your mailing address if you have provided that to us for the purpose of receiving materials so that they may send materials to you on our behalf pursuant to this Privacy Policy. Access to your personal information by these contractors is limited to the information reasonably necessary for the contractor to perform its limited function for us. We also require that our operations and maintenance contractors 1) protect the privacy of your personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy, and 2) not use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than providing us and/or our end users with products and services.

Legal Requirements
We may release your personal information to third parties: (1) to comply with legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order; or (2) in special cases, such as a physical threat to you or others. In the event that we are legally compelled to disclose your personal information to a third party, we will attempt to give you prior notice unless doing so would violate the law or court order, so that you can contest the disclosure.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
If our information practices materially change at some time in the future, we will post such change to the website. We will, however, always use information in accordance with the version of the Privacy Policy under which it was originally collected. If you are concerned about how your information is used, please periodically check our website, especially this privacy policy.
